Environmental & Social
responsibility
With such a love of the natural environment I've always felt a responsibility to help protect it. From caring for the environment I realised we need to care for the people who depend upon it too.
Volunteering
I used 6 weeks sabbatical in 2006 to volunteer at this Chilean environmental NGO
NGO Work
Having seen how useful my skills could be for NGOs, I decided I wanted to work for the biggest environmental NGO.
I took a 40% pay-cut, but have never regretted those 2.5 years!
Setup Program
Working with "Social Fabric" in Zurich I set up a program to receive, clean and resell Laptops
It generated ca. $30k/Yr and supported 1x refugee's work placement
Family
I prefer to keep my family life 'off-line'.
They are however a huge part of who I am!
